Herts Community NHS Trust records highest ever flu vaccine uptake from staff
Results have been published in a report by Public Health England, which measured the uptake of all NHS Trusts from 1 September to 31 December 2016.
HCT recorded 75.7 per cent of its staff, directly involved in patient care, as having a flu vaccine this season – surpassing figures reported by the end of the 2015/16 campaign at 45.6 per cent.

Hide AdThere are a total of 15 community NHS Trust’s in England. Out of these just three met the 75 per cent national target, including Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.
Clare Hawkins, chief nurse at HCT, said: “Our staff are committed to the safety of our patients and also protecting themselves and their family from the virus.
“On behalf of the executive team, we are delighted with the overall results and thank everyone involved for their time and dedication towards it.
“Although this was a challenging target, staff kept the primary motivation of patient safety at the forefront of their minds.”
